After it is cooked, add red wine vinegar for extra flavor. Start by using three cans of minced clams separate the clams from the juice and set them aside.

The video shows you how to make the recipe by chopping the vegetables. The potatoes should be peeled before chopping. Once the vegetables are chopped, they are put in a frying pan over medium heat, and the clam juice and water are added.

As you let the vegetables cook, you make a roux in a larger pot made by melting butter, adding flour, and mixing it with a whisk until smooth. Then you add half and a half and continue to whisk the mixture. The vegetables are added to the cream-based mix and stirred in, and the clams are added. Do not let it boil, and add vinegar, salt, and black pepper to taste. It is called My Best Clam Chowder.
